Hi, I’m Caroline
I’m a runner and gym goer based in the UK, and Sustainably Strong is my place to share everything I’ve learnt on my journey to building fitness and healthy habits that actually last.
Why This Exists
It started with a Couch to 5k app during lockdown and absolutely no idea what I was doing. Since then running has become a genuine part of my everyday life – I’ve added strength training, navigated injuries and setbacks, and I’m currently working towards my first marathon (and my first pull up!)
Along the way I noticed that a lot of fitness content was pointing in the wrong direction. Pushing towards higher intensity, restriction and short-term thinking. Plans that worked for two weeks and then became overwhelming and fell apart. Advice that assumed unlimited time, resources, perfect motivation and the ideal daily schedule.
Real life doesn’t work like that. And fitness and health guidance should.
Sustainably Strong exists to offer something different – practical, honest content built around the idea that consistency peats perfection every single time.
What You’ll Find Here
Everything here is built around four pillars:
Fuel
Practical nutrition strategies for everyday performance and recovery. Simple, repeatable approaches to eating well that fit around a busy life – not obsessive tracking and meal plans that take over your weekend.
Run
Training guidance for runners of any level who want to build consistency. Whether you are just starting out or rebuilding after a break, the focus is on sustainable progress towards your goals.
Strength
Resistance training that supports and protects your running and overall health. Not bodybuilding or extreme programmes – just structured, sensible strength work that keeps you moving well for the long term.
Balance
The habits, sleep and recovery strategies that hold everything together. Your training and nutrition can only make good progress when the foundations underneath them are solid.
Who This is For
Sustainably Strong is for everyday people – not elite athletes, not people with unlimited time and resources, not people attempting extreme transformations.
It’s for the person juggling work, family life and a training schedule that doesn’t always go to plan. For the runner who wants to add in some strength training but isn’t sure where to start. For anyone who has tried extreme plans or diets and found them impossible to sustain.
If you want to build fitness that lasts – not just for the season but for years to come – you’re in the right place.
A Note on Independence
There is currently no sponsored content or affiliate partnerships on this site. If that changes in the future it will always be clearly disclosed.
Any brand or product partnership is considered on one condition – that there is genuine hands on experience of the product first. No reviews without testing. No recommendations without honest opinions. The value of this site depends on trust for the reader in what they find here.
